Flavoured Almond Milk


When it comes to being healthy, there are few selected things comes in mind and Milk is one of them.

It is the best source of calcium for all age groups. Sometimes kids or included adults are not like to drink plain milk, that time flavoured milk is a best choice to go ahead with. There are so many options of flavoured milk like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and all, almond flavoured milk is also one of them. But it is more than flavoured milk because its made by almond and almonds are among the world’s best sources of vitamin E, it contain lots of healthy fats, fiber, protein and magnesium as well. So this flavored milk is a perfect combo of health pack.

The best time to have this drink is a breakfast time or it is the best option during fasting because it keeps your body energetic full day.

Ingredients

25 almonds
1/8 tea spoon saffron
2 green cardamom (crushed)
500ml milk
Sugar as to taste

Instructions

1. To prepare this healthy milk, first we need to wash and soak the almonds overnight or atleast 7 hours.

2. Now drain the excess water and peel the skin of almonds (meanwhile boil the milk in a thick bottomed pan).

3. Now add peeled almonds into the blending jar and with the help of little water make a smooth paste of it.

4. Add this paste into the boiling milk and let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

5. Now add sugar, saffron and crushed cardamom in it and mix well. And let it simmer another one minute.

6. Now turn off the flame.


Super healthy Almond Milk is ready now.You can serve this milk hot or cold as your choice.

Gooseberry and chilli pickle


Gooseberry and chilli pickle (Amla mirch Achar)

Today i am going to share a very healthy and tasty pickle recipe. This is Gooseberry chilli mix pickle – Gooseberry is also known as Amla in hindi. Amla is a natural source of many minerals and vitamins. These berries are famous in all over the world for their benefits and they are now exported to many countries.

There are multiple ways of adding it to our diet, like murabba, pickle, amla powder, dried amla and many more items. And in this recipe i am sharing a tangy pickle made from Amla and to make it more spicy, i am using chilli in it.

Ingredients
300 gram gooseberries
100 gram green chillies
1.5 table spoon coriander powder
1.5 table spoon fennel (coarsely grounded)
1.5 tea spoon mustard seeds (coarsely grounded)
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
1/4 tea spoon asafoetida
2 table spoon mustard oil
Salt to taste

Instructions

1. To prepare pickle, first wash the gooseberries and chillies separately.

2. Now boil half cup of water in a thick bottomed pan.

3. Add washed gooseberries in it, cover the pan with lid and simmer them for about 4 to 5 minutes.

4. Now turn off the flame and keep it aside for cooling.

5. Meanwhile cut the green chillies as your desire shape.

6. Now open the pan and drain the excess water from it.(don’t throw this water as it is very healthy, you can use it in curry, daal or as you want).

7. Now take a plate and keep gooseberries in it. Gently press the boiled gooseberry to separate the wedges and remove seeds as well.

8. Heat oil in a pan on medium flame, add all spices and saute them for a minute.

9. Now add amla pieces, prepared green chillies, asafoetida and salt in it. Mix all well together.

10. Cover and simmer for about 2 minutes. Then turn off the flame.
Amla chilli pickle is ready. You can serve this healthy pickle with poori, paratha, roti rice or as your choice.

Note… Don’t over cook the gooseberries.You can use this pickle up to one week.

 

Bottle Gourd Treat


Best for kids and diabetic patients.

Bottle Gourd Treat is a wonderful nutritious breakfast Recipe and in fact recipe got a lot to add in life. Lauki or bottle gourd is a very common Indian vegetable and healthy too.

As we know that most of the people not like to eat lauki and especially kids, that why i make this recipe and this is the solution of your lauki phobia. In this recipe i served lauki appam with lauki rayta, and trust me this is too yummy in taste, and you must try to evaluate. This recipe is also good for diabetic patient and perfect idea for kids tiffin.

Ingredients

350 gram bottle gourd
1 cup oats
1 table spoon semolina
2 table spoon yogurt (fatfree)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
50 gram fresh coriander (chopped)
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Red pepper powder as to taste
1/4 tea spoon roasted cumin powder
1/2 tea spoon chat masala
Pinch of asafoetida
1/3 tea spoon baking powder
1 table spoon lemon juice
1 table spoon canola oil
Water as needed

1. To prepare this dish firstly, peel and grate lauki, and then steam it for about 10 to 12 minutes.

2. Now grind the oats and convert into powder.

3. Take a big bowl add oats powder in it, and then add semolina, yogurt, onion, green chillies, coriander, chat masala, salt, red pepper, asafotida, steamed bottle gourd in it and mix this mixture well.

4. Now add water and remember the consistency of this batter should be similar to idly batter. Cover and set aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

5. After 20 minutes, add baking powder and lemon juice in it and mix well. Then heat a non-stick appam pan and apply little bit oil on it.

6. Pour spoonful of the batter in 3/4 of the appam cavity.

7. Allow to cook this batter for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.

8. These appams are very soft so flipping must be accurate and proper. Turn each appam with the help of a wooden skewer.

9. Cook them until they turns golden from both sides.

Now bottle gourd appams are ready, serve them with bottle gourd rayta and enjoy this healthy treat with your family.

Spinach And Sprouts Dhokla


Spinach and Sprouts both are nutritious and the healthiest food for our body.

Always healthy diet plans are incomplete without them because they contains fewer calories compared to other sancks or meal and keep us energetic full of day.

And my todays recipe related to both of them, it is very healthy snacks recipe. You can have this dish as a morning breakfast or as a evening snack, this is perfect for both. So lets get started to make this yummiest and healthiest dish today.

Ingredients

200 gram fresh palak leaves
300 gram sprouted whole green gram /moong daal
2 green chillies (chopped)
2 table spoon chickpea flour
2 tea spoon oil
1 tea spoon sesame seeds
5 to 6 curry leaves
1/2 tea spoon baking soda
1/3 tea spoon asafoetida
Salt to taste

Instructions

1. To prepare dhokla firslty we need to grind the spinach, sprouts, green chillies and water together until it becomes smooth.

2. Now take a big bowl and add this mixture into it. (Meanwhile prepare steamer for steaming the dhokla)

3. Now add chickpea flour, salt, asafoetida and mix well. Make it a smooth better add water if needed.

4. Now grease the tin and if steamer is ready that moment add baking soda in the better and mix well.

5. Now tranfer this mixture into greased tin and set this tin into steamer.

6. Cook this better into steamer for about 12 to 15 minutes.

7. When dhokla is ready heat oil in tadka pan, add sesame seeds and curry leaves in it and saute for a second.

8. Pour this tempering over the dhokla and now cut it into your desire shape.

Now the healthy spinach and sprouts dhokla is ready to be served.

White Sauce Cheesy Pasta


  • Pasta is generally a simple Italian dish, but comes in many varieties due to its versatility.

There are many option to serve pasta dishes like some are served in starter, some in lunch and some as a salads or dinner, because the sizes are different for all of them. Likewise the flavors of pastas are also have different varieties, but today i am gonna share an easy peasy cheesy pasta recipe – Savour the taste of cheesey pasta with white sauce. This is my one of the favorite easy meal recipe. White sauce cheesy pasta with lots of veggies is a good option for your kids lunch box. Even You can prepare it for your loved ones any time or any special occasion like birthday party, kitty party or any celebration. According to your taste any types of cheese and veggies you can add in this dish.

Ingredients

1 cup pasta
1 cup milk
2 table spoon butter
1 table spoon all purpose flour
1/2 cup mixed vegetable (chopped)
50 gram processed cheese
1/2 tea spoon oregano herb
Black pepper powder
Salt to taste

Ingredients

1. To prepare cheese pasta, first take a deep pan and boil 1.5 liter water in it.

2. Now boil the pasta in boiling water until it become soft or (boil it for about 12 to 15 minutes in case you have doubts over softness).

3. After boiling drain the pasta and keep aside.

4. Heat a pan, add 1 tea spoon butter and add mixed vegetables and pinch of salt in it, saute them for about 4 to 5 minutes. Then keep aside.

5. Now heat the same pan on medium flame and add remaining butter in it. While the butter is melting, add all purpose flour in it and saute until the flour slightly change its color.

6. Then turn the flame low and immediately add milk and stir continuously to remove lumps.

7. Now add salt, black pepper, oregano and half amount of cheese in it and mix well.

8. Now add boiled pasta and prepared vegetables in it. Then add remaining cheese, mix well.

9. Now White Sauce Cheesy Pasta is ready to serve, garnish it with oregano and serve hot.

Healthy And Tasty Spinach Tikki


Spinach or Palak is a very healthy vegetable, it has iron, minerals, nutrients and many more healthy nutritions, in one word we can say this green bunch is another meaning of health.

Spinach is an easily available vegetable and cheap too so rather than using it in boring routine taste all time,

today will share something unique and really tasty recipe of palak.

This recipe is very good option for snacks and kids breakfast, lunch box too.

Ingredients

500 gram fresh spinach/palak leaves
250 gram chickpeas
200 gram paneer /cottage cheese or processed cheese
1 small onion (finely chopped)
2 green chillies
1 tea spoon chaat masala
1 tea spoon coriander powder
1/2 tea spoon garam masala
1 cup breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon canola oil or any cooking oil

Instructions

1. To prepare palak tikki, first you need to wash and soak the chickpeas atleast 8 hours or overnight.

2. Boil the soaked chickpeas until it cooked well. After boiling, drain excess water from it.Then keep aside.

3. Wash and blanch the palak leaves. Then squeeze out excess water from it.

4. Now take grinder jar, add palak, boiled chickpeas and green chillies in it and grind them well.

5. Take a big bowl and add this grinded mixture into the bowl, and then add all spices in this mixture, and mix them well. Keep this mixture into the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

6. Now cut the cottage cheese or processed cheese into small cubes or you can also grate it for the inside filling of the tikkies.

7. After 20 minutes add breadcrumbs into the mixture and mix well.

8. Heat a not stick pan and grease it with less oil.

9. Apply little bit oil on your both palms and take big lemon sized mixture from it and shape them into ball.

10. Now stuff this ball with grated cheese or cheese cubes and then give it to tikki shape.

11. Now place this tikki on hot greased pan and shallow-fry it until it becomes golden from both sides.

12. Then remove from the pan and keep it on absorbent paper. Likewise prepare all tikkies.

Now Healthy & Tasty Spinach Tikkies are ready to be served
Serve them with your favorite sauce or chatni or hot cup of tea.

Avocado and Moong Sprouts Sandwich


We all are very well aware about Sprouts are good for our health and mind development. They are very healthy to eat in breakfast or as a snack. And also we know that Avocado is considered as a unique type of fruit due to its important nutrients such as antioxidants, which are essential for a healthy diet.

You all might be thinking that why i am explain the benefits of both of them together, because my todays recipe includes both of them.

Its Avocado Moong Sprouts sandwich.
Sandwiches has endless varieties but this is very healthy and perfect for our internal system, means improving our overall health and keeping the internal system in perfect condition. So lets prepare this healthy sandwich today!

Ingredients

2 Bread slices(white or brown)
1 Avocado (peeled and sliced)
1Table spoon moong sprouts.
2 tea spoon cheese spread or cream cheese(low fat)
5 to 6 cucumber slices
5 to 6 carrot slices
3 to 4 leaves lettuce
3 to 4 slices of tomato
2 pinch Black pepper powder
1/8 tea spoon of black salt

Instructions

1. To prepare this sandwich first you need to apply cheese spread to one side of both breads.

2. Place carrot slices, cucumber slices, lettuce,tomato slices , sprouts moong, now sprinkle some pepper and salt.

3. Now place avocado slices, tomato slices and again sprinkle some salt and black pepper powder, cover with another  bread slice and press lightly.
