*Vrat ke chawal ki kheer*
Samvat Rice kheer is one of the amazing option during Fasting or Navratri vrat. As we all aware that we can either have samvat or barnyard millet or sama rice during fast so lets try this Samvat kheer and you will find a major difference in taste and positive body routine.
Its difficult to eat fruits, juices and some oily food all the time. So I made samvat rice kheer yesterday. Its a sweet pudding which is quite easy to make and digest and off course a big help to change your taste.
1.Vrat ke chawal(samvat rice)= 1/3 cup
2. Full cream milk = 3 cups
3. Cashew nuts = 8(chopped)
4. Sugar = 1/3 cup
5. Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp.
6. Almonds = 6 (chopped)
You can add or remove dry fruits as per your choice.
1.Soak the samvat rice in a cup of water for an hour.
2.Drain and keep aside.
3.Heat the milk on a medium flame.
4.When the milk begins to boil, add the soaked samvat rice to the pan, and stir well.
5. Cover the pan and reduce the flame.
6.Allow the mixture to simmer for twenty minutes, stirring occasionally
7.After twenty minutes, add sugar and cook till the sugar has fully dissolved.
8. Add the cashew nuts, chopped Almonds and cardamom powder.
9. Cook for another ten minutes then remove it from the stove and Garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot or chilled as your choice.
